Animals Best Friend Award

Congratulations to Dr. Gary Block, winner of the 2023 Animals Best Friend Award!

In appreciation of extraordinary humane efforts on behalf of animals, the RIVMA established the Animal’s Best Friend Award.

This award recognizes a person who has exhibited great compassion by saving the life of, and/or significantly increasing the wellbeing of one or more animals during the past 12 months.

Nominations are accepted from RIVMA members, their clients, and the humane community, including wildlife rehabilitators, Animal Control Officers, and shelter personnel.

Nominations will be reviewed and an award recipient selected by the RIVMA Board of Directors at their October meeting.

The award, and a $100 cash prize, will be presented at the RIVMA Annual Meeting.

Nominations must be submitted online by September 30.
